  • Border Security: President Trump says he’ll sign the spending bill passed by Congress Thursday night in order to avert a second government shutdown. He’ll then declare a national emergency on the southern border in order to bypass Congress and fund the border wall. Read more here.

  • Trump & FBI: Former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe said in an interview that Justice Dept. officials were so concerned after President Trump fired James Comey that they discussed recruiting Cabinet members to remove the president from office under the 25th Amendment. McCabe also said he rushed to expand the Russia investigation in the days after Comey was fired because he was worried Trump would close it. Read more here.

  • Nah-mazon: Amazon called off its plan to build a second headquarters in Queens, N.Y., following fierce opposition from progressives to the $3 billion in tax incentives that were offered as part of the deal. Amazon said the expansion would eventually create 25,000 jobs. The company will continue with its plans for its other new campus in the D.C. suburbs. Read more here.

  • Pineapple Express: California is at the center of a severe weather system known as a “pineapple express” that’s bringing heavy rain, mudslides, strong winds, and mountain snow to the West Coast. Meanwhile, forecasters declared that El Niño, the weather pattern that typically brings strong storms to the West Coast, is officially back and will continue through the spring. Read more here.

  • Superjumbo Scrapped: Airbus is ending production of its A380 superjumbo jet. The double-decker plane, the largest commercial passenger airliner to ever fly, has only been around for 12 years but had seen stiff competition from smaller, more fuel-efficient aircraft that can fly just as far.   • Flu Season: This year’s flu season has been less severe than last year’s, mostly because there are more cases of H1N1, the milder type of flu. Also, the CDC says that this year’s vaccine is more effective at fighting the virus than last year’s vaccine. Read more here.

  • Spotted: Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn on the kiss cam at the Hawks-Knicks game. They’ve been married since 1946. See it here.

  • Katy Perry: Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are engaged. The singer posted a selfie with the actor, displaying a large ring in the shape of a flower. It was captioned “full bloom.” See the pic here.

  • Bill Cosby: In his first public remarks from behind bars, Bill Cosby compared himself to a political prisoner and said he would never feel remorse for his actions because he doesn’t believe he did anything wrong. Cosby was convicted on sexual assault charges and sentenced to 3 to 10 years. Read more here.

  • All That: Nickelodeon is reviving "All That," the sketch comedy show that became a hit among teens in the 1990s. Kenan Thompson, who got his start when "All That" debuted in 1994, will serve as executive producer with an all-new cast. Read more here.

  • Dog Mode: Tesla is now dog-friendly. The company has unveiled its “dog mode” that will allow drivers to set the cabin temperature to keep dogs comfortable while alone inside the car. Another feature: a large screen, that shows the inside temperature and tells passengers not to worry: “My owner will be back soon." Read more here.
